THE BUTCHER

THE RUB A DUB DUB TRILOGY - BOOK 1

She thought it was pork. She was wrong.

The first time hapless food inspector Emily Underwood meets butcher Frank Pinch, he’s not got much at all in his display counters. But what he does have is a rather unusual plan to restock his shelves. The next time they bump into each other, he’s won an award for his sausages but is running out of meat.

Can Frank keep up production of his unusually tasty sausages? Will Emily discover the source of Frank’s award-winning meat? And what will happen the next time she tries to inspect his butcher’s shop?

Book 1 in the Rub-a-Dub-Dub trilogy, this deliciously British dark comedy will change the way you look at sausages forever.

The author did a such a great job of writing from the perspective of a 30-year-old woman, that I was most surprised to find the author a man! His injection of dry humor into normal everyday activities was hilarious. For those of you who enjoyed the humor in the movie “Fargo”, you will be pleasantly surprised with this story.

I started to read the first chapter of this book at the end of Nathan’s first novel, Blind Justice. It caught my attention immediately. We meet Emily, a Food Standard inspector & a couple of brothers who find a new source for their sausages. Very cleverly written to hold your attention right the the last paragraph

Great read. Really clever humour and right down my street. Some great twists with some I was hoping to happen and some I didn't see coming. Really engaged with the characters and keen for the next in the series!
